Cape San Blas, Florida, United States 32456
Welcome to Sunset Paradise!!
Thank you for considering us for your vacation. We love it here and we know that you will, too. Spring 2017 we went through a major remodel adding a 12' x 7.5' swim spa, 800 sq ft of deck, new flooring, new kitchen appliances and updated bathrooms. We tried to make it perfect for you in every way. Cape San Blas is known for its clear, clean, aquamarine water, sugar-like sand, tall dunes, stunning views, and secluded location. Today it is getting harder and harder to find a quiet place to soothe away stress. Well, this is the place! (please note that this home does not permit pets)
A great beach house professionally redecorated 2016. The house comfortably sleeps 11 vacationers with new top-quality memory foam mattresses to help ensure you wake up rested and ready to enjoy the day. The top level starts with our large, fully equipped kitchen where you will find everything needed by cooks at any level. Some fresh shrimp, oysters or fish is all you need to create the perfect beach dinner. Don’t forget steaks on the outdoor propane grill. You can dine outside with seating for at least 12 or dine in at the dining room table for 8 with seating for 2 more at the breakfast bar. We have a Keurig and a KitchenAid 12 cup coffeemaker. Next is the spacious living area with plenty of room to hang out, play games, or just relax and watch a good movie. It has a 55 inch Flat screen TV with cable. This level is completed with a king master suite with flat screen TV that opens to the screened deck and has an attached full bath.
The middle level has a second king master with flat screen TV opening to the covered deck, also with an attached full bath. Across the way is a double queen room with another flat screen TV, its own private full bath and access to the deck with its spectacular views. This level also has a second family space for the kids with a flat screen TV. The couch in this room makes into a queen size sleeper. Perfect for a slumber party!!
The lower level has a half bath just a short way from the beach. The laundry room and ample storage complete this level.
Why Come Here?
Of course, that starts with the location. Walk directly to the ocean on your own boardwalk. Steps away from one of the most beautiful, wide sugar white sand beaches on the planet, this kid and pet beach is simply amazing. No need to pack your lunch - the beach is so close to the house! Most days you will see dolphins playing off shore with pelicans, sandpipers, and sea gulls sharing the neighborhood. Giant loggerhead turtles annually select the cape for nesting. One of the highlights of this beach is its seclusion and privacy.
There are lots of ways to catch the views. Enjoy your morning coffee or late afternoon beverage watching from one of the decks, complete with screened-in porch facing the beautiful Gulf of Mexico and sparkling emerald water.
We love the sunsets. At twilight this is the perfect spot to marvel at the sun dropping silently in the gulf. Although, if you listen hard you would swear the sun’s going under makes a sound like the last plink of a skipping rock. Following sunset, an amazing display of the Milky Way and stargazing awaits. I guess you can understand our choice of the name, this is truly paradise found and a dream come true! Make Sunset Paradise your home on the beach!!!
The State Park on the north end of the Cape has 10 miles of sugar white sand, this park is one of the top rated beaches in the United States rated #1 by Dr. Beach in 2002. Sunbathing, shelling, snorkeling, swimming, bicycling and fishing are popular activities. A boat ramp which accommodates most trailered vessels is located at Eagle Harbor. Some of the highest dunes in the nation are found here as well as some of the last remaining habitat of coastal sand pine scrub. St Joseph Peninsula State Park has an abundance of wildlife and provides excellent opportunities for bird watching and wildlife viewing. The park is extremely popular during scallop season (July thru Labor Day).
The fishing is superb, either in the surf out front or minutes away in St. Joe Bay, where Tarpon make their yearly appearance in July and August. Cobia, Pompano, Redfish and Speckled Trout help make the Cape a fisherman’s paradise. Other activities include diving for scallops in late summer, crabbing, and beach combing. The surf is normally low, making for excellent swimming and kayaking.
This home does not accept pets.

We absolutely loved our stay at Sunset Paradise! The house was perfect! It was very well stocked, from dishes to beach equipment, and the view was breathtaking! The decor of the house was perfect, the screened in porches were wonderful, and the swim spa was fantastic! The house was very clean and the beds were very comfortable! Thank you for making our family vacation so memorable! It was our first trip to the Cape but it will not be our last or our last stay at Sunset!
Great view of beach and breathtaking sunsets. Really enjoyed the fully stocked kitchen....had everything we needed and we cooked every meal except one during our week. Loved the screened porches and hot tub. Best mattresses... hard to get some of our group out of bed in the mornings. This house had a very tastefully beach decor and some great artwork every where you looked... we appreciated the hard work that went into making it that way. All appliances and washer/dryer were updated. Can't wait to come back again!
The location and updated home was a great value. We comfortably fit two families and two grandma's. . The home has everything you need including beach chairs. There are a lot of stairs so be prepared if you have people who have bad knees. However, the third floor views were worth it. We would come back in a heartbeat.
This beautifully renovated and decorated home is the perfect combination of comfort and luxury. The set up of three equal-size en suite bedrooms, which all opened onto the screen porch and sunset views, was ideal for our families traveling together. The kitchen was well-stocked, appliances were new, the games and beach toys aplenty, and the finishes and decor were clearly chosen with care and taste. Being able to walk out of the door and onto the beach boardwalk was incredible, and the beach itself was gorgeous. The hot tub spa was the luxury of all luxuries. We cannot wait to get back to this Paradise.
What an amazing house! I went with my two teenaged daughters, my husband, aunt and mother - a full house! We had plenty of room! All the bedroom are spacious and open up to the decks and the ocean - we slept with our sliding glass doors open! We typically cook a lot when on vacation and the kitchen is a dream! Very well stocked and organized. The pots and pans are in excellent shape, there are plenty of cutting boards and storage containers. Tons of wine/cocktail glass (both plastic and glass). All the appliances are updated and work very well. The grill is clean and in good shape! There is a great storage closet on the ground floor that is well stocked with beach chairs, beach toys and S'mores sticks for the bonfire (which we had every night!) We will definitely be a return renter to Sunset Paradise!
It was a great pleasure to stay in this house, it is even better than the pictures. I advise all this house of paradise. Very clean, very convenient, beautiful bedding. I have 2 children, they were very happy, the beach nearby, is an advantage, in the morning you wake up with this incredible view, my vacation was only happiness. We will re-rent this house without hesitation. All the more I am French, and I love the good things. I recommend this home.Excuse me for my English
Many thanks to Dawn, she overaccommodated our requests and we ended up having one of the most relaxing vacations in a very long time. If you are into sunsets, dolphin watching, crab chasing, bonfires on the beach, napping and relaxing on white sand beaches and enjoying plenty of water activities without all the crowds and commercialism, this place is the epitome of that answer. We chose this home for a 5 night stay, only wish we had stayed longer...it was simply amazing! If you've never had the chance to vacation on the Cape, this is a great alternative to the commercial - laden Panama City, Destin and Pensacola Panhandle options. Come ready to relax at this amazing three level home that is named "Sunset Paradise" for a reason...center view of the sunsets each night, either from the white sand beach, 40 yards down the private walk from your door, or from the gulf-facing screened porch. The house was so relaxing and it's location is probably the best on the Cape. A quarter mile walk north is a local convenient store for most basic needs, and "the Pig" has all your grocery needs about 10 minute drive away. We bought all the food we needed to enjoy the kitchen at the house and just relax, however we were told there numerous resturant options on the Cape and also in the adjacent towns of St Port Joe, Apalachicola and St George Island which are all within 10-30minutes for time in town to eat and shop. We visited the State Park on the north side of the Cape and there are tons of fun options like kayaking, paddleboarding, scuba, snorkeling, fishing and boating...all of which we will try next time we visit. We will look to make Dawn's home our choice next time we come to the Cape.
Excellent beach vacation. We love Cape San Blas and this property is very nice. The third floor screened porch was the perfect place to watch the ocean, beachcombers and dolphins. We would recommend to anyone.
We LOVE Cape San Blas and will return to this house for certain!! It was perfect for two families! The kids shared the bedroom with two queen beds and the parents got the King suites. At first, I was not looking forward to the many flights of stairs...it turned out to not be an issue at all. The houses in the area all turned into share the same small stretch of beach, which was so great!! It was like a neighborhood in the surf with all the kids playing together then scattering for dinner then back out for sunset play. Heaven! It was clean and comfy!!
The condo is in an exceptional location - a bit under stocked (towels, certain kitchen items) and older appliances, not so good of working order!! We will certainly rent 816780 again.
We encourage our guests to let us know of any problems with the house during their stay so we have the opportunity to correct the problem.
Sunset Paradise was the perfect place for our group! You cannot match the location and ease of this beachfront sanctuary. All the rooms felt like a personal private suite with porch access! We loved grilling local fish and having dinners on the screened porch. We LoVe Cape San Blas and come every two years or so. Dawn is overly accommodating, responses quickly and was incredibly pleasant to work with. We highly recommend this beautiful, well furnished, tons of space, stones throw to the beach house!
