We fell in love with the house and the beach town! The house was amazing, with an open kitchen and living room and the front screened-in porch was absolutely charming. The beach acces was 20 yards from the driveway and made it very easy to carry things to and from the beach. Our dog had the time of his life. We will most certainly be back!
This house offers the PERFECT spot to get away from it all (if that's what you want). We were a group of 9 adults and found the house to be spacious enough to not be falling all over one another. The beach access just across the road was perfect. You could go to the beach in the morning, walk back to the house for lunch and return to the beach easily. Once we were worn out at the beach the pool was very inviting. We loved that we could swim any time we chose day or night. We spent a great deal of time on the porch as well. We were close enough to have ocean views and hear the waves crashing. It was an amazing spot to enjoy breakfast and wind down at the end of the day. We cooked several meals and found the kitchen to be adequate. The only suggestion we might have is that it would be nice to have a couple of empty cabinets for food. We had to just line the countertops with all of our snacks and such. This by no means ruined our trip just drove the neat freaks of the group a little mad. Long story short we loved, loved, loved Treasure by the Sea and would recommend it to anyone! It was exactly as advertised and we can't wait to return.
My family and I enjoyed our vacation in this house very much. It was very clean. It had everything we needed. Everything worked well for us. The pool was warm this time of the year. Everything was maintained well. We will be back again when we can!
Overall, great house and location. Couple of storms came though so water wasn't the expected emerald we normally see on gulf coast. Not sure if this is normal for this location. House had everything you need to make a great vacation. Pool was great for when kids got tired of beach and wanted to go back to house. Street was not busy at all so they could go back and forth no problem. Access to beach right across street and we also had a golf cart with us which you can bring to beach. We had 10 people and fit fine in this house. Screened porch was nice during rain. Not sure if gas grill was there just for us but it made life much easier cause we grill everyday and with charcoal it would have taken forever. Only bad part is 20 mins to store so try to get whatever you need before you settle in.
We absolutely loved our stay here. We had not been to the area in over 25 years and loved that it still had the small town charm. The house was perfect for the 6 adults and 2 small children. The space fit our needs and the pool was perfect! The location to the beach was a short walk. I spent every morning on the screened porch drinking my coffee and listening to the waves. You can see the beach from the porch. We brought our golf cart but could not drive on the beach without paying an outrageous price for a permit. We still enjoyed driving around on it. We are planning to book again next year.
We stayed around the pool A LOT!! It has so much deck space. The beach access is awesome where you can ride your golf cart from the house right onto the beach! We wished the house had another bathroom, and suggest putting one downstairs maybe where the outdoor shower is. And the queen bedroom really could use a TV in it, and a bigger queen mattress as it felt more like a full size. Other than that, we loved the place! Bang for your buck for sure!!!
Even though it rained most of the time we were down there we had a great time. Since we spent most of the time in the house I feel I got a good overall impression. It was clean when we arrived and had an easy walk to the beach. The screened in porch was great for those rainy days. Even tho it's across the street from the ocean, you could see and hear it perfectly fine. The house itself was the perfect size for our party of 6. We weren't cramped at all. I really liked this house and hope to return to it soon!
There were 4 adults and 4 children (ages 6-11) who went on our trip. Probably my favorite part of the house was the screened in porch. I spent most of my week when not on the beach or in the pool out there. Kitchen had plenty of supplies and I cooked every day. The pool is large and has awesome area to lounge. There are several stairs to climb but my youngest was 6 so no issues for us. The area was very secluded which we loved. I have no complaints. Hope to return next year.
Great location for access to Port St Joe beach. We had a relaxing week, able to enjoy the mild winter temperatures. Great outdoor areas- the upper enclosed porch and pool deck were well furnished with comfortable seating and tables. We used the outdoor grill and kayaks. Everything was neat and clean inside and out. Would love to stay again! Owners were great to work with and highly accessible.
Great home with view from first tier, pet friendly and new pool! Well furnished, path to beach across the street. We all enjoyed a great time! Very clean, easy to contact property manager if you have questions. The Indian Pass Trading Post is 2 minutes away for great fresh seafood in a casual setting!
Had a wonderful week with friends. Very comfortable for 5 adults. Would be a great rental for families too. All the amenities and so private and peaceful. House must have been recently re-done. All new appliances, bright and cheery interior and new mattresses and bedding - yes I checked :) - I'm leery of old uncomfortable mattresses in rentals . Easy beach access and a great time with driving the golf cart on the beach. Took the cart for a drive on the beach each evening at sundown with our cocktails and then headed back for relaxing in the pool, hanging out by the fire pit and dinners on the porch. Well stocked kitchen – everything needed for cooking dinners. We generally ate lunch our while exploring the area and looked forward to a relaxing dinner and evening at this house. Indian Pass Oyster Bar is so close we were able to take the golf cart. Apalachacola is about 20 minutes east. Unique shops and restaurants. The wildlife in the area is remarkable. We saw dolphin, egrets, heron, bald eagles, stingray, turtle, in addition to crabs, shells, conch, star fish and sand dollars. Dog friendly beach – Buddy loved chasing the birds and the tennis ball on the beach. Would highly recommend and can’t wait to return. Thank you!
We had a wonderful week, staying in this great home July 9 - 15, 2016. My husband and I, with our son and daughter and their families enjoyed everything about this house. It had plenty of room for our group of eleven. We were 6 adults and 5 kids. It's a very open floor plan, so we were never crowded. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook our meals. The Hugh screened in porch was great for enjoying our morning coffee before we started our day. It was a short walk to the beach down a sandy path just across the street. We brought two wagons so we could take a pop up awning and coolers to the beach with us. The kids loved the week as well. They definitely wanted to stay longer. They loved the fact that there were beach toys for us to use. There were also beach chairs that came in very handy. I think my favorite thing is it was quiet and away from any hustle and bustle and the beach was never crowded. But if you want or need to go shopping, it's a short drive to Port St Joe . I would definitely recommend this house for any family. It was a wonderful vacation. Thank you for your great accommodations.
The property was very well cleaned and maintained with easy access to the beach only foot steps away. Property details were as described and much more providing items to assist with everyday living. There were plenty of cooking dishes and utensils as well as seating for your party up to 10 guests as indicated. The beds were very comfortable with blankets galore. This house was a perfect getaway vacation for our family and friends. We would definitely recommend visiting! Best regards, Phoebe Robinson
Wonderful location and comfortable house. We had 80th birthday celebration here, with guests from 3 mos to >80 and it was perfect. The huge screened in porch is awesome. The master suite likewise. Nice kitchen, well-stocked (thank you for having coffee filters!). Path to beach very close, and well-trodden! Love the colors and style of furnishings. Quick response when we decided at the last minute to extend our stay - thank you!
My husband and I treated our two grown, married children and spouses to a week at the beach. The house was perfect - great views from the front porch, the front porch itself (where we ate all our meals), very short walk to the beach, easy access to Port St. Joe and Apalachicola. The house is clean and bright, and was just the right size for us.
Our family of eight visited Treasure by the Sea in early May and had the most wonderful vacation. The home was perfect for our crew...one bedroom for the three girls, one for the three boys and ample space in the master for my hubby and me. The home was well-stocked and we had everything we needed for cooking meals each day. Most of all, we enjoyed the huge screened porch and every meal was shared looking at the ocean...you just can't beat that! The beach was such an easy walk and our kids ran back often to use the restrooms/change/etc. without much fear or worry. The neighborhood is quaint and quiet...if you are looking to really getaway from the hustle and bustle of normal life, this is the place!
we had a great time the house was very nice great location the beach access was right there wind was strong the four days of our visit so the large front porch worked very well we had an eagle fly over one after noon cooked steak on the grill . great kitchen we cooked every morning ,went to the raw bar one night food was and music was great we will be back
We loved our stay at Treasure Shores March 26 - April 2, 2016!! Everything about Treasure Shores is perfect - the beautifully decorated, but comfortable home with screened porch facing the ocean, the beach directly in front of the home, well maintained neighborhood. I can't imagine a more perfect vacation home and do hope we're able to visit again and again! I highly recommend Treasure Shores and the Port St. Joe/Cape San Blas area! Tom & Dawn Coker and children, LaGrange, GA and Charleston, SC.
Thanks so much for wonderful words, we feel the home is just a "Treasure" for sure. Just for those reading reviews the name of this house is actually "Treasure by the Sea".
Very nice space, lots of room for family. Had good time. Love the large porch. . The beds were very comfortable. Kitchen well equipped but could use a few more coffee cups and large utensils. Overall very nice place.
We are ordering more coffee cups to make your morning relaxation on the porch a little more enjoyable next time. I'm glad you had a great week.
Like everyone else we enjoyed the spacious screened in porch. We enjoyed the view of the water and could monitor waves easily. The beach access was very convenient and that side was pretty quiet. The back of house was right on 30A and was quite noisy if you hung around house any at all. Good access to St Joe State park...you could easily bike. We brought our own bikes. About everything you need here to cook...which we did a lot of. Way too expensive to eat out all the time. The tourist surcharge on seafood is crazy. A gas grill would be a welcomed amenity for easier outdoor cooking. All in all not too bad. If you're bringing kids, bring things to keep them entertained...books, movies, water toys, bikes etc. as the selection was limited. There are 2 kayaks but we found no paddles. It was too windy and rough to go out so no real prob. Plenty of room to sleep a group. Seems that you can bring your pets too...if they like the beach. Overall had a nice stay.
This house was a wonderful beach get away for Spring Break. Location to the beach was perfect-just a short sandy path and you were right there. There was a golf cart for additional fee that our kids loved to take us and our beach stuff back and forth from the beach. It had super comfortable beds-a big plus! The front screened in porch was amazing and we spent most of our time on it if we weren't at the beach! It was especially nice to have for the couple days it rained. Kitchen had everything you would need to cook meals and a grill outside. Quiet neighborhood, very uncrowded beaches. We hope to be back.
We are so Glad you loved the house. Matt and Debbie the owners have done a beautiful job of updating their home and continue to do more every time they visit. Please stay with us again.
We loved the open floor plan with comfortable furniture and beach décor. The beach is close enough that running back to the house from the beach for another beer wasn't too taxing. The screen porch that runs the length of the house was the perfect place to end the day.
The screen porch is amazing, glad you enjoyed your stay.
We very much enjoyed our stay at Treasure By the Sea. It is a very cozy place with beach access right across the street. The beach is beautiful and long with plenty of space to walk and enjoy the view. The home is very clean and well appointed. The most appealing feature is the huge front porch with ocean views, plenty of seating and a great dining table with eight chairs. The interior furnishings, appliances, even the carpet all appear to be brand new. We felt right at home there and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. And if you're looking for fresh local seafood, the Indian Pass Raw Bar is a unique little restaurant right up the street. There are other good restaurants in Cape San Blas and Port St. Joe. Treasure By the Sea definitely exceeded our expectations. If you're interested in vacationing in this area we would highly recommend it.
Thanks so much for taking the time to give us a review. Glad you had a wonderful week. We look forward to your return trip!
