We rented Breezy Bay and Bay Beauty to celebrate my father's and mother's 80th birthdays. There were 16 of us aged 6-80 years old. We used the cabin mainly for sleeping quarters and a place for down time when the we needed a break from the big house/noisy family. The beds were very comfortable and the cabin very clean. If my husband and I ever decided to vacation on our own we would definitely rent the cabin by itself. The bay is amazing and the hot tub is a great relaxer. The only issue was the wifi signal wasn't that strong. Thanks for a gr at week!
Need parking for boat . Grass was high. It really needed to be mowed. Too far from cabin to end of doc to carry kayaks. The cabin was nice & cozy. Had a beautiful view & everything we needed in it except cleaning supplies. Very limited channel selection on TV . We checked out a day early due to spouse being sick . Overall this is a great place to stay for fishing adventures.
The cottage was clean and well-appointed. Our family (two adults, two kids, ages 14 and 10, and one silly hound dog) thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house is just a short walk to the beach, and the bay is right out the front door. We enjoyed exploring the bay in the mornings by paddle board and by foot in the afternoon when the tide was low. My only surprise was that there was not a dishwasher, but it truly was not a big deal. With only four of us, it was easy to wash what we used. The sheets were super soft on the beds, and they even provided a toy, towel and sheet for our dog. We would definitely book this property again! Thank you for making it so lovely!
First time here in the Cape! Loved it. It was a nice relaxing weekend away from Atlanta. Loved going on evening walks down the street and of course the beach. Felt very safe. The only dissapointment was the grill was broke. We had planned on grilling out and couldn't. The hot tub was pretty dirty as well. I do feel like if I am paying a nice amount to stay somewhere when I am charged a cleaning fee and a damage deposit, it should be a bit cleaner and working equipment. But overall, it was a nice stay. Will def return to the Cape.
I'm so glad you fell in love with Cape San Blas. I'm very sorry that the gas grill was not working, know one has notified us that the grill was not working, if you had contacted us we would have repaired or replaced the grill immediately. The same with the hot tub. It is unacceptable for you to have any issues but you have to contact us so that we can make any adjustments to make your stay as positive as possible. We did not receive any calls from you during your stay. Next time please let us know and we will address any issues within 24hrs. Dawn, John & Mary
Perfect size for two people and a dog. We loved how quiet it was while we were there. I give 4 stars as the shower was quite small, other than that it was a great little place to stay.
Thanks so much for choosing our property. This home is a cabin and the bath does have limited space for any expansions unfortunately. We look forward to your next visit. John & Dawn
This cabin was a perfect fit for an impromptu getaway! We just wanted to unplug and relax and bring in the New Year, and the location, hot tub and fireplace was just what the doctor ordered. The kitchen had all of the gadgets and appliances anyone would need, and the cabin was clean and cozy. The owners were very responsive to a glitch with the water; they took care of it immediately and went out of their way to make sure we weren't inconvenienced. Overall it was a great experience; we would highly recommend this cabin and will certainly be back!
We vacation at Cape San Blas three times per year. Two of those times are with extended family. We save the best trip for last. Just my husband and I. This one bedroom cabin is perfect and we have stayed here three times, the property is clean and well maintained. The location is quite and we spend our days on the bay fishing. The new owners have added bunk beds which is perfect for children. If your looking for a great place to just get away, this is it.
We have stayed in this cabin before with the previous owner. The location is just right for us - close to town and the state park, easy access to the beach as well as the boardwalk into the bay. Love the kayaking, fishing walking and sunrises! The improvements in the cabin like the new stove, microwave, TV and shower were much appreciated. We also enjoyed the porch swing very much. The only disappointment we had was with the number of burned out light bulbs and the controls in the hot tub didn't work very well. The cabin was clean and the yard well kept. Would definitely recommend to friends and family.
This was our first family trip to Cape San Blas and we are sure to return to this rental. For our multi-family vacation this cozy cabin was a must have addition to the main house on the property. It was the best location for our family with two small children that needed a quiet place to nap. Our boys loved the bunk beds and the bedroom was very comfortable. Can't wait to visit again next year!
Dawn's bay side home is a wonderful escape. My girlfriend and I had a wonderful time and a very romantic weekend getaway. From lounging in the hot tub, to enjoying a glass of wine while "sitting on the dock of the bay, watchin' the tide roll away" ...thank you Otis Redding. The beach was only a 5 minute walk away. The house was tastefully decorated with all the amenities one could want. Stock up on your groceries in Port Saint Joe and visit Apalachicola for world-class oysters. This was a wonderful escape. You won't go wrong should you choose this romantic little escape.
Beautiful cabin on the less built-up side of CSB has great views of St Joe Bay and wildlife. Easy access to great beaches, the best at St Joe Peninsula State Park. The photos don't do the cabin justice. Very clean and fresh. Owners were very helpful and responsive. Sharing the lot didn't detract, since our neighbors were quiet too. The bathroom includes a shower, no tub as in the description; the dining table is on a screened porch, so you'll be eating in the living room when the temperature drops. Excellent internet access. Just left and plan to visit again next spring!
An absolutely perfect couples get away...............loved the cottage, from kayaking in the bay to the hot tub and scenery to the gorgeous beach just minutes away!!! Had an amazing weekend, highly recommend and hope to be visiting again soon!!!!
I'm so glad you had a great trip!
Enjoyed the weeks stay that I had at the cabin on Cape San Blas. Great location , just a short ride to Port St. Joe. The outside spa tub was a bonus. The house was clean and a perfect choice for one or two people. I spent a lot of my time hiking the trails in the nearby St. Joe Bay buffer preserve. Don't miss stopping by the Thirsty Goat at the Port Inn for a drink.
Cute, clean and has amenities for a comfortable stay. But, you should know it is not a private lot. It is attached to another 2 story house via a deck. You share the dock and the lot. The deck is connected to the other house past the hot tub. So you have your own cottage and space but you are sharing the property with another rental house. Otherwise, no issues.
